PRISON ISLANDS

The Prison Islands, located off the Southern Coast and bearing a variant of the Cin Vento crest, serve as a penal colony, starkly contrasting the realm's high cultural status. While Cin Vento is renowned for its sophistication, it conceals a darker side marred by cruel exploitation. The empire's merchants traverse the seas, trading goods and sending undesirables from the mainland to the Prison Islands, where they are subjected to hard labor for crimes that often don’t fit the severity of their punishment.
 

Despite the islands' grim reputation, there are "free" settlements scattered across them: Solenactun on the central isle, Bharot on the western isle, and Port Harrald on the eastern island. These settlements, while nominally free, exist under the shadow of the penal colony’s harsh control and serve as centers of trade and occasional refuge within the oppressive environment. This duality of Cin Vento—its outward grandeur juxtaposed with a harsh, exploitative reality—highlights a society that maintains a veneer of sophistication while perpetuating deep-seated cruelty and control.
